Carol's impressive career includes 15 years of international experience in organisational development roles. Her background in Psychology (at a masters level), supports the core competencies she brings to the 7i™ team. These competencies include: organisational development (OD); process design; human resource and leadership development; alternative dispute resolution (ADR) practice; project design; management; facilitation; psychometric and other assessments; curriculum development and lecturing; research and product development; psychotherapy, coaching and mentoring. Carol is also registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).

Carol was one of the first lecturers of the Graduate School of Public and Development Management at Wits Business School and contributed to setting up the academic support programme. She has previously been a senior consultant with Genesis Development International headquartered in London and also the Training and Development Manager at Independent Newspapers, Gauteng, based at 'The Star'. Her role included implementing training and development initiatives for the 4000 newspaper staff, as well as facilitating the design and development of an HR Management Information System and a complete audit of the staff profile.

While she was Regional Director of Independent Mediation Service of South Africa (IMSSA), Carol was responsible for implementing strategic planning and evaluation processes that steered IMSSA into pioneering areas of intervention. She also expanded IMSSA's work of alternative access to justice in the areas of inner-city landlord-tenant disputes; minibus taxi disputes; housing and education disputes; local governance; crime prevention; survivor-perpetrator mediation as a result of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) hearings; and multi stakeholder consultations in mineral and energy policy development.
