The book, 'Through 1000 Eyes: The Journey of Becoming a Facilitator' has taken on a new form. Midway through our own journey in writing the book, something extraordinary happened and the result is our first instalment in a journey we’ve decided to write 'live' as our work with clients unfolds. This first chapter is called 'The Penguins who Learned How to Fly', an allegory of change, innovation, team work, learning to do things in a new way, doing the impossible, reinventing ourselves and our purpose, growth, and almost everything else you would find in business and organisations – and yes, the FUN and spirit too! Click on 'The Penguins Who Learned How to Fly' to learn more.
'Through 1000 Eyes' was borne out of 7i™'s own urge to write about the matters of heart and purpose when it come to Work, and what it means to be truly awake, consious, aware, in tune, connected, responsible and creative beyond what we could imagine. Here at 7i™ we are interested in exploring these matters as well as what it will take to trigger an increased awareness – perhaps likened to a metaphysical epiphany grounded in the science and art of transacting on a day-to-day basis. To us, the similarities between business, life and dare we say spirituality, are so clear and yet so misunderstood. Our journey is to increase awareness – to be a catalyst for dialogue and change through facilitating an increased awareness of ourselves as well as the 'macrocosm–microcosm concept' (whatever is happening 'out there' is happening 'within' each of us and vice versa).
In the book and toolkit 'Through 1000 Eyes', now transforming it’s own form and shape, we look at what it means to become a facilitator and cocreator – in all spheres of our existence – and the empathy and responsibility it takes to achieve this. We provide practical steps and clear concepts in aspiring towards this goal. We see this book and toolkit as an extension of ourselves – as an aspect of our own journey – and hope that it will inspire and motivate others.
'Through 1000 Eyes' presents the subject of facilitation and cocreation as a collective process – seen through many eyes – documenting learning and expansion as a process of becoming an Individual, an 'I' in the world at large. We look forward to sharing our collaborations and expanding them through a thousand eyes! |
